The Garrison is a WW2 living history group which incorporates a number of different, more specific units. We have attended events all over the country, and also abroad. We reenact British WWII, Royal Artillery, Field, Anti-aircraft and Searchlight units. The Regiments portrayed are 489 Battery, 124th (Northumbrian) Field Regiment RA, 25th Light Anti Aircraft Regiment RA, both in 50th Tyne Tees Division and 301 Bty, 93rd (Mixed) Searchlight Regiment Royal Artillery. This ATS regiment was the only all female regiment in the History of the British Army. Our group equipment includes a large range of ww2 British military vehicles plus a full set of 25pdrs, a Bofors and a Mk1 150cm searchlight and generator. |
